"Winter is here and it is cold. The weather today was insane. This morning it was a mild -5C and right now it is -30C. That is insanely cold, and I was so cold on the street. My face felt like it was going to freeze off. It’s no wonder they call it the tundra - it is soo cold. That made for a fun day of running around and working. We got out and contacted a bit this morning, and that went decently. We then headed off to the other elders house for собрание округа. That went well as always, and things are decent that way. We warned the guys to not be in the cold too much as it is super dangerous. After that, we went to the Поваров's house and had a short meeting with them about missionary work. That went good, and they are ready to help us out. We stopped home quick before we headed out to Шавкат's place on the island. They are doing fairly well, and seem to be happy. They don't have a whole lot, but at least it is warm there. The wind is the worst part, and so if there is no wind, then everything is alright."

"I don't know how to explain today. It was slow, but good. We went to the meeting, and that was pretty good. I was beat from sports time yesterday and so I wanted to sleep. Well, Владик was there and so that was good. After the meeting we came home and ate before we went and helped out Маша и Аня translate some stuff into English. We went from there to Афина's place and had a decent discussion with them. Афина was completely into it, but she understood what we talked about. I am not sure how to help her understand, but that will be my job. Tonight I am taking it easy and getting ready for tomorrow. It was certainly a quiet day and kind of just passed by. I need to pay more attention to the time, and how I spend it. As for now, bed time. I am beat and want to pass out. Tomorrow we are back to work."

"It was a fairly good day and I am beat. We did a ton today, and I am already aching fairly well. We once again didn't do a whole lot, but we did. This morning my comp had to get registered and so that meant we went and stood in line to get that done with. Following registration, we signed the contract with our landlady for the next several months. After that, we went to Гладков's house where we had a service project. He took out a wall, and so we helped him to smash it and all so that he can remodel. I had to carry bags of bricks up and down the stairs the whole time, but he was glad for our help. We had a bit to eat, and then ran to собрание миссионеров. We talked about all before coming home and then gong to sports night. That was a major success, and I was way glad that we found the sports place. We played volleyball, soccer, and basketball. It was way cool, and we were basically the only ones there and a ton of people came. I lifted some weights - bench press - and that was super painful. I am dead tired, and I will pass out tonight."

Caught

"This is going to have to be one of the weirdest days of my mission. There were so many surprises and turns, and it was sure crazy. I can't believe it. This morning we had planning and all went well that way. We ate some плов and then we took off with sister Макарова to find a place for sports night. We thought that would be fast, but we were sure wrong. We went to a million places, but everywhere is full on Saturday nights. We said a prayer and after 3 hours, we found a place to hold sports night. By that time we were beat, abut we headed off to another meeting. Oh yeah, when we were with Sister M. we found this huge hill and I thought it would be nothing to slide down. Well, I was wrong and it was practically impossible to stop. It was fund and funny. So, our meeting didn't happen, and so we walked with Андре to Афина's, where we had a meeting.
This is where the strangeness started. A few weeks ago, we thought that Афина had stolen money from us. Well, when we were at her house tonight, we had it taken again. I know that we had to talk to them about it immediately. It was awkward, and I just relied on the spirit. They both gave me back the money and said they were sorry. It was draining emotionally and physically."

"Today was sure a long day. We did almost nothing. We didn't have anything planned and so we kind of just walked around. Elder Ананд is not really sure how to be senior companion, and so we didn't have much planned. We did go out contacting this morning, and that was cool. We talked with a lot of people and had a good time that way. We then came home for lunch, and had ourselves пельмены sandwiches. I started to read Harry Potter in Russian, and that was cool. We headed off to hunt down some members, but didn't have any luck. No one was home, and if they were, they didn't want to meet with us. We came home after a few hours and had dinner - I just read. We headed off to the scripture study class, and that went well. Well, Mark 9 really kicked my butt, but other than that it was good. We then had молодежный вечер which would have been cool other than Маша и Аня вместе. We had a cool time playing and all, but it could have been better. Now I am back home with Steiner have a good time and tomorrow we should have a good day. I hope that all will work out as we want."

Good P-day

"Another quick day passed by. It was a good one at that, and we had a good time relaxing. It was p-day and so we chilled this morning and didn't do a ton. We did clean the apartment finally, and so the house looks a lot nicer. We gave Маша a blessing for here test that she is going to have and then we hit up the рынок. We didn't buy really anything - just some pasta. It is no wonder that I haven't felt good the past few days, as we haven't eaten anything healthy. In fact today I have barely eaten anything. I think that I need to start eating better, but I don't know how. After the рынок we went to the other area to check out discs. There wasn't anything too amazing, but we found one store that had some good stuff. We wrote home and the family is doing well. Not much going on that way. We had English lesson and that went well.
We finished the night by meeting with Владик. He is doing well, and still trying to find out truth. He seems to accept most of the teaching, and accepted the commitment for baptism. The main thing is that we need to help him quit smoking and drinking. He drinks rarely so that will be a lot easier. He wants to quit smoking but hasn't gotten his faith up to do it yet. President Макаров helped out wonderfully. Tonight I am in Арбекого with Elder Ананд on exchanges. I need to help him know more what to do. He is a great guy."

Feel Good

"I am in a much better mood today, and I feel like we finally helped someone out. We started the day off by contacting as usual, and that went well. We talked with some good people and had a good time. We stopped by to one school where we agreed on a time for having sport time. We quickly ran home, grabbed a bite to eat, and then we went to help Шавкат. They just moved again, and we had to help them bring a lot of their clothing and stuff to their new place. It was an adventure as we had with us his little son Сультан. We took turns holding him, and it was a sure an adventure. We got them where they lived and stopped by to their neighbor's house for a bit to get all his things. I was shocked at how little they had. I thought of all the stuff that I have at home, and how I can't seem to live w/o it, but these people have so little, and yet are so happy. We got his things and took off back out into the cold to come home. A bus had broken down, and a van thing had brought some gas for it. We hitched a ride back to Шавкат's place, and then we took off to a meeting with some members. We met with Сорокины and that was awesome. They are awesome active members, and we want to get referrals from them. After the meeting we came home, and ate, and now we're relaxing. I feel good finally. What a relief!"
