"I am here once again in the office. This time I am with Elder Kirk as Elder Bennett and Nance have left to go to Riga today and then they will be in Moscow. Anyways that puts me and elder Kirk together again for a couple of days. It is cool to be with Elder Kirk again and we hare having a good time. Well we have been plenty busy here in the office and have been doing tons. Today when we got here there was a ton of missionaries. Anyhow, we worked on putting the stats in and we talked with the sisters a bit. They are doing well so that is good. Well, we told them to keep up the good work as they are working hard and having a hard time. Well we then just worked on the office stuff as we always do and then we went to buy some food for lunch. Well we ate chicken cordon blue and it was really good. I really loved it a ton and I couldn't ask for a better meal. We just bought it already made in the store. Well we then finished up our work the best we could before we took off to go to the church. On our way to the church we were on the gazelle and there was this drunk guy that was talking to us. This young lady got on and she started to tell him off - it was way awesome. She was very embarrassed for the way he was acting. She told him that in America we don't meet such people at 6 because they aren't drunk. When he told us that he was getting off at our stop then she told him that we were unlucky. It was funny and we invited her to English. Well we were at FHE and that was a lot of fun. Elder and Sister Lunt are great teachers. They have a lot of great ideas. We talked about music tonight and we sang and then we played a game. We had two ties and they went in a circle. When one tie caught up to the other then the person with two ties had to sing a school song, patriotic song, or act like a farm animal. Well it was sure a lot of fun, and we enjoyed it. The Орловы sisters are great and it was their birthday so we sang and had cake for them. Their friend from Germany is still here and so that was cool too. We had a good time laughing and enjoying the FHE. Well Elder Kirk didn't finish everything up and so we had to come back here so that he could work on it. Right now I am tired and ready to sleep but I will let him finish. I am way happy to be here right now, and I really like our ward. They are great people. The saints are such wonderful people!"

Party
7 August 2005
"We went right through a big party tonight again. It was sure crazy - at least we were in the трамвай and not on foot. We were leaving from Ehlerts and we were getting on the tram and there was a lot of drunk people. We tried to keep out of sight as much as we could but in white shirts and ties, that isn't too easy. Well they invited us to come and drink with them as it was 120 years of producing водка. Well they finally got off in the center and we just looked at all the people. i am just glad that we don't drink. What a sad thing to see all the people like that.
So this morning we went to the meeting and that turned out well. We then went to the office and we were there for a bit. We worked on some stuff for transfers and the APs were there. We then went to the Ehlerts. On the way there we did some contacting and met some really good people. I love to contact as I never know the seed that I might be planting.
So the Ehlert's house was way awesome. We had dinner - roast and potatoes as always. The APs were there also. Well after we just loaded up and couldn't eat anymore, we sat and had a spiritual thought. We talked about the BofM and its influence. Elder Kirk talked about Ольга from Ижевск and I talked about Ирина in Энгельс. The Book of Mormon plays such an important role. Elder Ehlert told some memories from his own mission and that was way awesome. The spirit was very strong and I was very grateful to be there. I love to share the gospel and to be here among these people. This is a time I will never forget!"

P-Day

"I slept under my desk today! That's right and it felt good to take a nap. We didn't want to take 5 minutes to walk back here so we just stayed in the office. I used a sleeping bag that I have there as my pillow and just curled up. It felt really good - wow I am sure lazy. lol - well it sure is an adventure to be a missionary, and I love it a ton.
Today was a decent p-day and we got a lot done. We went to the office as always to write home this morning and the fam seems to be doing well. They are doing tons for the summer right now and that means that things will be much different when I get home. My brother is working hard also and he is having a ton of success so that is good. After the letter writing we went and got some food. We bought more fresh stuff as alway too, so that was good. My comp got his hair cut and I wrote a letter to my sister since she wrote me.
We wanted to go see Stalin's Bunker, but of course it was closed since it's Saturdays. We just took some pictures and that was cool. We went back to the office to eat and that is when I took a nap. Well, we went straight to work and we and we went to see Степан. He is doing well, but said that he won't come tomorrow - too bad. Well, we contacted and that wen well. We talked with some crazy people as is often the case with contacting. So I guess that's about all for today - boring I know, but I can never write anything too exciting - oh well I guess."

Find a wife

"We met the most prepared guy ever - at least that is what he told us. He said that he was ready to do what the Lord wants to be able to return Him - did I mention we just stopped this guy on the street. Well, we got his number from him and address and said we would come back. So the bad news was at the end when his wife came up and wanted to get out of there and not talk with us. Well, that occurred after our коорданицоное собрание that didn't happen. We ended up just singing hymns with the sisters as Дима didn't show. Tonight we had to help the Lunts as they entered into a new contract with a new lady and she wanted a $100 up-front payment. Well, she tried to get it in dollars and she also said that the exchange rat is 30 rubles. I just laughed and told her no. Well the Russians think that we are dumb but they don't know!! The Lunt's are happy now so that is good.
This morning we went to the office and we did some work. I didn't have a ton to do, but that is because I have been doing well keeping everything up. I helped Blinkov pull a list together and I learned some stuff in Access. I also got a wedding invitation from Gina Myrup. It's crazy that these people are getting married. My friends! It is insane. Well, I guess I'll just have to go home and find myself a new young wife - жалько! lol - I guess I had better focus more on the work and worry about girls later. oh yeah, he said he was ready! We're looking forward to Sunday! ;)"

Office

"It was an interesting day and we had a good time. We were in the office at about 9:30 this morning. I had a ton to do and I got a lot done. I did more of the same as always - I wrote letters, sent off faxes, and worked on computer programs. Well, we went to service at 11 at the hospital and that went really well. We had a fun time cutting down a tree with one of those old 2 handled saws (see below). Let's just say that it is going to be sore tomorrow with all the cutting we did. We cut a huge old tree down and then into pieces. We were dead after an hour and we're sweating good. Well, we went to McDonalds as we have plenty of money left and we met Elder Lunt there. Well, he payed for our lunch - now we have more money - and we had a good chat with him. We got back to the office and we had plenty to do. I worked on a report and also on a list of numbers. Well, that turned out well. We basically got things taken care of that we needed to and relaxed. We didn't get out of the office until about 8 and we had to get back here to meet the Хозяйка. Well, she gave us bills of things that we need to pay and things like that. Well, we are relaxing and getting ready to sleep now. Back to the office tomorrow. Wee..."

All Over

"I get to write in here again tonight - that is crazy. Well, we were in the office most of the day and I did all kinds of things. I worked on getting papers ready for the group that is leaving for new visas and I had to do a bunch of stupid things for them, and it was a long time. I also worked on other things - if you really want to know, I already forgot what I worked on. Me and Spackman left for a bit to buy some ink cartridges and we had to go to 2 different stores to get all the ink that we needed. Well, we ate lunch and that was really good to eat as is always the case. Well, I sat and we had a good time. I had a ton to do and I tried to get it done but I forgot to get a lot of it done. Anyhow, we then went to the church as we had to do a lot of stuff there with President. We sat there for awhile and then President Колцов finally came. Well he told us about how things have gone here. It was cool and sad to hear about how the branch is here and how thing have gone. I am getting ready for tomorrow."

Food

"Let's make it two days in a row. That's right. I am writing on here again. Basically I should be keeping my journal here for the next couple of days. Well honestly we did get out today and I had a good time, but we are back here at the office. We came here early this morning and we started working. I worked on getting everything ready for MEC as I always do on Tuesdays. Well I then sat and relaxed a bit. Well not really but I did some things that I had to get done before MEC. Well MEC was a long one today as we had to talk about a ton of stuff. We have to don tons of stuff and there is tons of stuff going on in the mission. Things are going well here in the mission other then all of the problems. The work is kind of slow but that is how the work has been for the last little while. Well we talked about everything and our meeting wen for 4 hours again. I was dead by the end as I hadn't eaten anything today and I have a ton to do. Well, I started working on some letter for the presidents to get all filled out and then I had a great surprise - lunch. Elder Bennett and Nance made us some stuffed peppers. Wow that was really good.. I loved it a lot and then greatly enjoyed it. I love when I eat well and that is a good thing. Well we rushed off to English class but for no real reason as there was only one student there. Well the sisters stayed at the lesson and so we taught them also. We talked about families and listened to the song that my Dad sang I'm my Own Grandpa. Well after the lesson we came back to the office as they needed to get onto my computer to use it. Well I talked with a guy on the tram today, and he is a good guy, but not too interested. I invited him out to the meetings so maybe he will come. Now I am getting ready to go home as I very tired and I want to get home. We have to wait as Elder Hunsaker and Spackman will be with us, and they are working on some things here. Well I guess that's all for tonight."
